MUJERES DE NEGRO CONTRA LA GUERRA-DE MADRID
Manifestamos:
Que es urgente y necesario fortalecer el trabajo de Educación para la Paz con perspectiva de género, que tiene como finalidad la formación de un SER “noviolento”, que pueda alcanzar su pleno desarrollo y aprenda a resolver los conflictos de forma negociada.
Que se tomen medidas urgentes encaminadas a la erradicación de la investigación, fabricación y venta de armas, para acabar con este comercio que alimenta la violencia y los conflictos que asolan hoy a la humanidad.
Invitamos a participar en la Campaña de Objeción Fiscal en la Declaración de la Renta (*), como medio al servicio de la Paz. Con ello se pretende que no se destine “Ni un solo euro, ni una sola mujer, ni un solo hombre, ni una solo pensamiento para la guerra”; que no se destine a fabricar/investigar armas que matan a seres humanos.
Expulsemos la guerra de la historia y de nuestras vidas.

COMUNICADO
Mujeres de Negro contra la Guerra-de Madrid- en la conmemoración del 24 de mayo,
Día Internacional de las Mujeres por la Paz y el Desarme.
Estamos en contra de las guerras y de todo militarismo porque éste perpetúa el orden patriarcal establecido, que mantiene un sistema de dominación generador de injusticias y que no garantiza un desarrollo humano justo y sostenible, no creemos en la lucha armada porque perpetúa la ley del más fuerte.
El militarismo es transmisor y exaltador de valores machistas que en nada favorecen la equidad y la igualdad de oportunidades. Alimenta la “naturalización” de la violencia y devalúa el cuidado de la vida en toda su integridad; mantiene una visión dicotómica del mundo, que se expresa en la división del mismo entre amigos/ enemigos; nosotros/ ellos; morir/matar; conmigo/contra mí. El ejército y su armamentismo es una apología de la muerte frente al valor de la vida y sólo busca mantener el statu quo social que predomina en nuestras sociedades hoy.
Es por ello que nos hemos opuesto desde siempre a la idea de presentar como un avance la incorporación de la mujer a las Fuerzas Armadas. Para Mujeres de Negro, el nombramiento de una mujer al frente del Ministerio de Defensa no puede significar un logro desde una óptica feminista, sino una aceptación de los valores patriarcales y un paso más en la progresiva militarización social. Los planteamientos feministas – antimilitaristas apuntan a una sociedad sin dominaciones de género y, por extensión, sin ningún tipo de dominaciones. Aceptar este nombramiento nos hace perder el horizonte utópico del feminismo.
Y en ese sentido expresamos nuestra preocupación por la inversión del gasto público para fines militares. Mientras los países productores sigan destinando recursos para la investigación y producción armamentista, no será posible otro mundo. La producción y comercio de armas nutre todos los conflictos armados.
Si bien es cierto que este gobierno ha incrementado la Ayuda Oficial al Desarrollo, las cifras hablan: “Cada español da 83 euros a ayuda al desarrollo al año y 179 para gastos militares”. El volumen de venta en armamento crece cada año, con informes que reflejan una falta de transparencias y claridad. El presupuesto del Ministerio de defensa se ha incrementado en un 5.6% más que en el 2006, maneja 18 veces más dinero que lo que se invierte en Vivienda, 26 veces más que para Sanidad y Consumo, 32 veces más que para Cultura.
El Estado Español incumple con el código de conducta de la Unión Europea, cuando se venden armas a países en conflicto donde se producen sistemáticamente abusos a los Derechos Humanos, como son Colombia, China, Israel, entre otros. España sigue produciendo bombas racimo y minas antipersona.
Para nosotras ningún ejército defiende la Paz, las mal llamadas guerras humanitarias son un engaño más en el nuevo modelo de Defensa que impone el miedo para alcanzar sus metas de libre mercado totalitario.
Por ello manifestamos:

For Women in Black, the naming of a woman to head up the Ministry of Defense does not, from a feminist point of view, signify an accomplishment, rather an acceptance of patriarchal values and one step further in the progressive militarization of society.

That it is both necessary and urgent to strengthen the work of education for peace from a gender perspective, which has as its goal the formation of a non-violent person who can attain fullest development and learn to resolve conflicts through negotiation.
That urgent measures must be taken towards the eradication of research, production and sale of arms in order to to cease this commerce which feeds violence and conflicts that are destroying humanity.
In the interest of peace, we invite you to participate in the Campana de Objecion Fiscal en la Declaracion de la Renta (campaign opposing fiscal matters related to the public debt). The objective is that there be no appropriation for war “Not one euro, not one woman, not one man, not one thought for war,” that no money be dedicated to research and production of weapons that kill human beings.
Let us expel war from history and from our lives.

International Day of Women for Peace and Disarmament
We are against wars and against all militarism because it perpetuates the established patriarchal order, maintains a system of control that generates injustice and which does not guarantee just and sustainable human development. We do not believe in armed struggle because it perpetuates the law of whoever is the most powerful.
Militarism transmits and exalts macho values, which in no way favor equity and equality of opportunity. It feeds an acceptance of violence and devalues caring for life in all its integrity. It maintains a dichotomous vision of the world expressed as divisions between friend/enemy, we/they, die/kill, with me/against me. The army, with all its weaponry, is a eulogy for death as opposed to the value of life, and only seeks to maintain the status quo.
For this reason, we have opposed from the very beginning the idea that to have women in the Armed Forces would constitute progress. For Women in Black, the naming of a woman to head up the Ministry of Defense does not, from a feminist point of view, signify an accomplishment, rather an acceptance of patriarchal values and one step further in the progressive militarization of society. The feminist anti-militarist positions aim toward a society with no gender power structure and, by extension, no type of domination at all. To accept this nomination [to the Ministry of Defense] would be to discard the utopian feminist outlook.
And, in this regard, we express our concern over investing public monies for military ends. As long as the producer nations continue using resources for research and production of weapons, another world will not be possible. Production and commerce in weapons fuels all armed conflicts.
While it is true that this government has increased Ayuda Oficial al Desarrollo (official assistance for development), the statistics speak for themselves: “Every Spaniard gives 83 euros a year for development and 179 for military expenses.” The volume of sales of arms grows yearly, with reports reflecting lack of transparency and clarity. The budget of the Ministry of Defense has increased 5.6% above that of 2006, it manages 18 times more money than is invested in Vivienda (housing), 26 times more than for Sanidad y Consumo (health and consumption), 32 times more than for Cultura (cultural matters).
The State is not complying with the European Union code of conduct when arms are sold to countries in conflict where there are systematic abuses of human rights, as in Colombia, China and Israel, among others. Spain continues to produce cluster bombs and land mines. To our way of thinking, no army defends the peace. The incorrectly named “humanitarian wars” are yet another deception in modern defense, which imposes fear to achieve its goals of free market totalitarianism. For this reason, we declare:
